And too beat to post. Was a decent trip, two overnights. Surveying/shovel probing in deep woods in a soon-to-be-harvested timber stand. First time I used a GPS to shoot in every location, and it worked out okay. The signal got lost a few times — once for most of the morning — and it liked to wander around a lot, sometimes around 30 meters away. I think perhaps out in the woods like that where there aren’t any real landmarks to work off a map from, the GPS is the best way to go. OTOH, when in a more urban area where you can get decent Google Earth maps to work with, I think it’s as easy and probably more accurate to just measure from landmarks and map them in yourself.
Apart from the bees, no really interesting Nature Moments. Pretty quiet actually; not even birds singing. I assume Sasquatch must have been nearby.
